TPS Empire Records: The Story Behind Milwaukee's Independent Record Label

TPS Empire Records is an independent music label and entertainment company built around Milwaukee music, artist development, music production, and creating opportunities for independent artists. Founded by TpsEastsidewill, it grew from a small independent music operation into a larger artist-driven brand focused on building a team of musicians, producers, rappers, singers, and creative talent.

When Did TPS Empire Records Start?

The story began in 2020 as TPS Entertainment Records. He set out to create his own label instead of depending on other companies and studios. After paying for sessions and learning recording and production, he built his own operation. In 2021, he expanded with TPSboyz & TPSgirls, a Milwaukee artist group under the TPS name. In 2022, he copyrighted the new name TPS Empire Records.

What Does TPS Mean?

TPS stands for “Team Phone Slappn.” “Empire” reflects the bigger vision: building from the ground up — a team of artists and creatives rather than one individual artist. The label functions as a team: music, production, recording, videos, and collaborations under one brand.

Who Founded TPS Empire Records?

TpsEastsidewill is the founder and driving force behind TPS Empire Records. He is a producer, recording artist, studio owner, songwriter, and label owner. His production carries the “Eastsidewill exclusive” tag.

TPS Empire Records is connected to a growing group of Milwaukee artists. TPSboyz & TPSgirls was created in 2021 as a larger artist movement, built around bringing multiple artists together on a common platform. From a Small Setup to a Music Company

He started with a $50 microphone and an old Windows computer that frequently crashed. After paying for sessions, he invested in his own equipment and built a studio. That independent approach is the foundation of TPS Empire Records. Today the brand includes recording, mixing, mastering, music production, music videos, beats, collaborations, and label projects.

TPS Empire Studio

The label's studio operation offers recording sessions, mixing, music videos, beats, and services for independent artists — giving artists access to the tools they need to record and release music.

Music That Helped Build the Brand

“Shake It,” one of his first major hits, was created in his room with Ant2x and Smilladonbaby, reported at 100,000+ Spotify streams and 125,000+ YouTube views. “That's My Bitch Part 3” feat. Ari Ari and Ki Glock has reported 600,000+ streams.

What Is the Mission of TPS Empire Records?

The mission is independence, collaboration, production, and artist development — an environment where artists can work together, record, make videos, develop their sound, and release projects without waiting for a major label. Its Milwaukee roots are core to its identity.
